                                             Fundraising History

To date (August 2019) the Charity has raised nearly £68,000 and is now aiming for  £100,000!

The Football Tournament has now become one of the charity’s many annual events, the fifth one having being held in June 2019.  The charity has also organised four Race Nights, with a Ladies Day theme, three Quiz Nights, three Perfect Combination music events celebrating Hull’s musical heritage, two Christmas Fayres, as well as a sponsored Five Stadiums Walk. A new development is a Ukulele concert, featuring five bands, being held in September.

Many of Stephen’s friends and others have also been sponsored to undertake group challenges , including the national Three Peaks, or individual ones including marathons, and Tough Mudders, and even a Beard Shave.

Local organisations have also been extremely generous, including A&A Motors and their customers, Daifuku-Logan (Hull Marathon), and colleagues of one of the trustees who works for LadbrokesCoral (Yorkshire Three Peaks, raffles etc). Many others have kindly donated raffle, tombola and auction prizes.

We have also had much support and fundraising from staff and pupils at schools, connected to Stephen, namely The Rydal Academy, Wolfreton School and Willerby Carr Lane Primary.

The Stephen Hughes Foundation would like to thank all of the above, and the numerous other people and organisations, whose support has been crucial to the Charity’s success, not least Andy Richardson and Lou Duffy-Howard, who are the driving forces behind the Perfect Combination concerts.
